Pune: The Hinjewadi police on Monday arrested a 28-year-old man for robbing two smartphones, value Rs80,000, belonging to a tour operator on the Katraj-Dehu Street bypass at Bavdhan within the early hours of Sunday.
A police crew took the suspect Amit Niranjan Singh of West Bengal into custody on Monday night, whereas he was making an attempt to promote the stolen smartphones close to Wakad bridge.
Tour operator Rahul Sambrekar (47) of Nashik had gone to Goa with two mates final week. On their method again, they reached Bavdhan round 3am on Sunday.
