Steven Lightfoot, identified for his work on NBC thriller “Hannibal” and Netflix sequence “The Punisher,” will take over as showrunner for Apple TV+‘s long-delayed “Shantaram.”
The sequence halted production in February when the previous showrunner Eric Warren Singer departed the venture. The sequence then noticed a number of delays attributable to each the continuing coronavirus pandemic and the hurricane season.
Lightfoot will function author, government producer, and showrunner for the sequence. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lightfoot has inked a multi-year cope with Apple.
Starring Charlie Hunnam, “Shantaram” is an adaptation of a novel by Gregory David Roberts, telling the story of how a former financial institution robber strikes to the slums of Mumbai and tries to reinvent himself.
